Our Team.
Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting local businesses, strengthening neighborhood vitality, and guiding equitable development along the Upper Georgia Avenue corridor.
Serving Brightwood and Shepherd Park — and working with businesses near the Parks at Walter Reed — we promote a vibrant business district while preserving historic character and advancing equitable development for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
Our mission is to:
-
Support and promote small businesses across the corridor.
-
Foster a vibrant, walkable, and pedestrian-friendly commercial district.
-
Preserve historic character while encouraging thoughtful new development.
We invite you to join us at our next community event, or visit one of our wonderful small businesses.
